Successful ASI-RAF Seminar Series Concludes

The Recreational Aviation Foundation is pleased to have teamed up with AOPA’s Air Safety Institute on more than fifty of their in-person live seminars, “From Peaks to Pavement: Applying Lessons from the Backcountry”. This ambitious six-month series just concluded, with 88 separate two-hour sessions held across the country. A total of 8,526 people attended the seminars.

RAF Teams Up with AOPA for a Fun Weekend at Livermore

There are lots of reasons to head to Livermore Municipal Airport (KLVK) June 21 and 22 for AOPA’s Fly-In!

Team RAF will have an outdoor aircraft display, and RAF Social Media Coordinator Brittanee Lincoln will speak on “Preserving the Backcountry” from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Friday in the Skills and Safety Pavilion.

2019 RAF Grant Projects Add Recreational Access

The RAF is primarily volunteer-driven, meaning your donations go directly toward on-the-ground projects that further the RAF mission to preserve, maintain, and create airstrips for recreational access.

Two Montana Work Parties over Father's Day Weekend

Looking for a rewarding way to spend part of Father’s Day weekend? Help is needed at either of two Montana work parties, West Yellowstone and Ryan Field near West Glacier. Several chores need to be done to prepare for summer flying.  Fly or drive in, bring your work gloves and the RAF will provide Saturday lunch.  We will work hard but have fun as well. Let us know if you plan to help so we make sure to have enough food on hand.

The RAF Annual Ryan Field Weekend on June 28-30 will again feature an Out West theme. Fly or drive in and join us at the beautiful airstrip near West Glacier, Montana, 2MT1.
