Special Considerations or Operations
Scan all entries to airfield for dirt bikes, jeeps, quads, etc. – area is heavily used by OHV.
Parking is on the west end of the runway 30 threshold – make sure not to block the road which leads through the parking area when parking.
Caution - Be aware of the following items:
Runway is a little rough on the west side of the intersection
Limited go around options on crosswind landing to the southwest if underpowered
Make sure to scan for motorcycle and OHV riders at all times – area is heavily used by motorized vehicles
Main runway often has significant WSW crosswind, utilize crosswind runway when this is the case

Arrival Procedure
Tires in form of “L” mark the touchdown.
Depart RWY 30 or 12. When departing RWY 30, recommend 20 degree turn to the right to avoid overflying the town of Johannesburg.
Uphill departure on RWY 20 highly not recommended.

Gas station within a half mile walk. Town of Randsburg within a mile and a half walk.

Adhere to the RAF Code of Conduct at all times.
Fly out all trash and leave the facilities cleaner than you found it.
